I guess we can't really say enough about this horse. We had owned him since he was a yearling and it's easy to forget just how good he was. “Snack” proved to be just the kind of horse his pedigree says he should be. A prepotent sire, passing his ability and disposition on to his offspring. His colts are being used for roping, working cowhorse and ranch work and we continue to get wonderful reports from their owners. We sold his last colt in 2016.

Sadly, we had to put our grand old man down on 7/6/12 due to complications from COPD from a fire long ago in Idaho.

"Honey," is 25% line-bred Harlan. With 6 crosses to Dixie Beach, 3 crosses to Lady Coolidge and 2 crosses to Little Sue. Harmons Iron Wolf is producing horses that are doing really well in PRCA and AQHA roping events. Harlanders Holly was a PRCA calf roping horse that went down the road for many years. "Honey" was bred to some of our Harlan mares and can't say enough about his foals and the cross on the "Snack" daughters is exceptional. We sold "Honey" in the summer of 2016 to another Harlan breeder in Oklahoma.

When we sold Big Honey Harlan in the summer of 2016 we knew we were going to need a non-dilute stallion. We were able to find "BB" and he has brought us full circle coming back to the great stallion Tyrees Watch. Tyrees Watch was a horse that Don Stearns used for many years; that got us started on this path 25 years ago. "BB' was a kind, big hearted, stout horse with plenty of size for the North Country that could still handle himself. Sadly, we had to put "BB" down in the fall of 2020 due to health complications.

Sadly, we lost "Sabre" three days after turning him out with his mares in 2021. We are hoping that he did breed a couple of mares for 2022. His loss was a huge blow to our program and there is not a day when he is missed. We have kept a number of his daughters so his blood is not completely lost to us.

Foundation bred: 25% Harlan with 15.625% Dixie Beach, 3.125% Lady Coolidge and 9.375% of the great blue hen mare Mayflower! He has an easy going disposition to go along with 27 AQHA points.  22.5 in Heading and 4.5 in Heeling. He was a World Show Qualifier in Jr. Heading and has his open Performance Register of Merit. We are excited about what he is producing for us.

SABRE CHARGED (2005). 27 Open Performance points: World Show qualifier Jr Heading; Open ROM. Sire of MISS COOL SABRE (6 Open & Amateur Performance points), GRAY SABRE SURPRISE (2 Open Performance points) MISS HARLANS HEATHER (16.5 Amateur Performance points & Amateur Performance ROM).

Son of HARMONS IRON WOLF, Sire of SABRE CHARGED (27 Open Performance points: World Show qualifier Jr Heading; Open ROM), JOE ANN JETTIE (14 points: World Show qualifier Jr Tie-Down Roping; Open ROM).

Charges Legacy

Charges Legacy, by Sabre Charged x Sabre Ace Legacy owned and shown by Wayne Trachera, placed 8th at the 2019 AQHA World Show in Level 2 Amateur Heading.

Miss Harlans Heather

Miss Harlans Heather, by Sabre Charged x Dusted With Heather (Steel Gray Duster) owned by Wayne Trachera, did really well at the 2018 Denver Stock Show. Winning the Amateur All Around in roping. In Tie down she won the first round and placed fourth in the second round. Placed second in the Amateur Breakaway. In Team Roping - Heading she placed second and fourth in two rounds. In Team Roping - Heeling, she placed fourth in one round. Pretty good outing for her first show!

When we lost Sabre Charged at the start of the 2021 breeding season, Becky Amio was kind enough to let us use Why Not Firewater for the rest of the 2021 breeding season. He is a horse that we bred and then sold to her. She has him started nicely and will soon be shown on the barrels. Just over 21% Harlan. We are excited to see what he will produce in 2022.

Firewater Harlan was bred by Bob Robey. We owned Harlans Little Bit at the end of her life and she was one of the sweetest, toughest mares around. Harlans Grey Wolf was a horse that we made the mistake of selling. A few days after we had sold him, Ray Kinghorn who was starting him called and told us after having him just a short time that he was one of the handiest horses he had ever started and to not sell him!
